Are you tired of feeling like a hamster on a wheel? Have you ever wished for more hours in the day? If you said YES to either of those questions, this post was written for YOU!

The solution to jumping off the hamster wheel is to conduct a time study, for the next 20 days. Write down EVERYTHING you do and when you repeat a task, just add a check mark. At the end of the 20 days, number your list from 1 to ? #1 should represent your most important task, not necessarily what you do most.

The bottom 10 things on your list are NOT best use of your time and if possible should be delegated to someone else. If there is no one else, consider hiring an intern, or utilizing virtual talent from resources like FIVERR or Upwork. If you must complete mundane tasks yourself, do them AFTER the tasks which ARE best use of your time.

Working excessively long hours can take a toll on your health, personal life and happiness. Post this sign where you can read it as you work “Is this best use of my time?” to help you focus on the most important tasks.

Conduct a time study every quarter and you will jump off the hamster wheel for good, while you improve the level of success you achieve!
